The first thing I notice when walking into the home is how breathable it feels. The living room is grand and spacious: large in dimension with a sky-high ceiling. Much of the time in our house was spent here with family and friends, and never once did anyone feel confined. We could fit in multiple pieces of furniture without sacrificing room to move. Several game nights, workouts, movie nights, and get-togethers were frequent here. This “spacious” feeling also extends into other parts of the home.
The wet bar in the living room with a granite top also gives us space to entertain our guests—a long, Narrow, fixed window with a nice view outside. As you approach the dining area, a Bay window with a beautiful picture gives bright light and fresh air to enjoy dinner with family and friends. House is not very close to the Community Swimming pool, making it more peaceful. Opposite the house, there is a huge space where we enjoy playing shuttle or badminton with kids and bike riding around the community.
Safety
Safety has never been an issue in my home. The community has outdoor lights which turn on once the sun is down, which helps us walk during the night without any safety issues. Being on the top floor also provides us with additional safety.
Lighting
Who doesn’t love a well-lit home? Being on the top floor, the house is always in the pathway of sunlight. Opening the blinds in the morning is always a wonderful start to our day, bringing us warmth and happiness. If natural light isn’t present, it’s supplanted by our living room lights. The LEDs and the vaulted ceiling produce an encompassing light throughout the room.
Cool when it’s HOT
California is known for its hot, humid temperatures year-round, but that’s no issue in our home, given its cooling methods. For one, as the house is on the top floor, the breeze from open windows is strong when it’s there. However, on dry, humid days when outdoor temperatures especially get out of hand, a flip of a switch turns on the AC unit using NEST with HVAC installed, keeping us cool and cozy in the comfort of our home. Also, there is a Centralized heating system for cool weather.
In-House facilities
Entryway
The East-facing home welcomes you with a nice entryway upgraded with new tiles and a tall coat closet to your left with custom wooden shelves for more storage.
Laminated Flooring
The house gives you a beautiful experience with the soundproof, laminated flooring, which is easy to sweep or vacuum away any dirt and dust. It also helps to stay cool when the heat picks up due to its inherent qualities.
Kitchen
When we bought this house, the kitchen was one thing that made our decision easy. The kitchen has many upgraded cabinets and decent space to fit in. It has a brand new standing Electric Range with a four-burner stove with a large oven which gives you the freedom you need to make dinner and dessert at the same time, and a storage drawer comes with plenty of room to put your pots and pans out of sight and out of mind. Also, it has a brand new Samsung double-door refrigerator, a GE dishwasher with three racks, and an “Over the Range” microwave compatible with the convection oven with a high-speed exhaust fan to remove kitchen odors.
A sliding window over the sink provides natural light and access to the outdoors, framing your view while washing the dishes. Washing dishes is a lot of fun with a double deep sink updated with a new faucet by enjoying a nice view from the window. It’s nice to open the windows when cooking for good ventilation. The kitchen also boasts a high ceiling with recessed lights.
The granite countertop in the kitchen delivers gorgeous aesthetics and blends shades with the cabinets. Tile flooring is made for easy maintenance and durability. We also recently replaced the garbage disposal. Just a few steps from the kitchen, there is a dining area with a ceiling fan and bay view window to enjoy delicious food with your family.
Bedrooms
The two bedrooms themselves have suitable space for different needs. There was enough room to fit desks into both bedrooms, which was crucial to keep up our work/school lives during the pandemic, in addition to the beds and the multiple dressers and cabinets. Space was never an issue.
- The main bedroom has a ceiling fan. The main bedroom has two separate closets, sliding doors, and custom closet shelves with ample storage.
- The second bedroom has one closet with two sliding doors and custom closet shelves with ample storage.
- Both bedrooms have windows facing the parking lot with natural light so that you can enjoy the cool breeze with the open window. On the top floor, you can enjoy the cool breeze without privacy issues by having the windows open with the blinds on, even at night.
Laundry
Washing and drying our clothes was always easy. Located in the center of the house, down the hallway conjoining the living room from the second bathroom, transporting clothes to and from the washer/dryer was so simple. A washer and a new dryer inside the unit are a plus. A custom closet storage above the laundry unit provides many storage facilities—a tall linen closet opposite the laundry unit with deep shelves and two doors. Tile flooring in the laundry area is an additional advantage for water resistance and durability.
Bathrooms
The main bathroom has a tub with a new privacy glass shower door, exhaust fans with less noise, new shower fixtures, and a toilet. The double sink vanity with new faucets is detached from the tub and toilet with a secret door providing good lights and cabinets, which are super helpful as a secluded area from the main bedroom. The bathroom also contains tile flooring, which is easy to maintain. The second bathroom, perfect for guests, has a recently upgraded tub with a new shower door made of privacy glass, exhaust fans with less noise, new shower fixtures, and a toilet. There are also cabinets for extra storage.
Hallway
The hallway with lights effectively dividers between the living room and the bedrooms, separating sleep and work from entertainment and dining. The hallway leads to a tall closet with wooden doors and deep shelves.
Fireplace
There is an electric burning fireplace with a brick wall to hang pictures and an extended tile area with new tiles.
Balcony
The Balcony space allowed us to connect with nature and soak up the sunlight without leaving our homes. There was ample room to grow our plants with natural sunlight.
More than just a Garage
Parking is a hassle everywhere, but thankfully, not at our home; community parking is around the loop of dwellings and the one-car garage. The garage has a motor unit with a number padlock that is wifi enabled and can be controlled by an app. There’s also plenty of room towards the front for, you guessed it, storage space! There are always plenty of things that are needed, but just not in the house. All that goes in the garage, where we’ve set up shelves to store excess items. Because of this, our home has stayed organized and clutter-free!
Swimming Pool
Celeste community has a swimming pool that is well maintained. It gives opportunities for social interaction, relaxation, and stress relief.
Neighborhood
Community
The best part about a condominium is that it gives you the living experience of a private home while fostering a community-like relationship of a close-knit apartment complex. The other residents are very welcoming, and we’ve established friendships with several. There are also different community events held throughout the year as an opportunity to meet new people. The kids were also able to make friends and were often out playing with them in their free time. Mostly, the surrounding area is quiet, bringing peace to the home. Safe neighborhood for evening and morning walks around the community.
Schools
Regarding the kids, Celeste Circle is a feeder to some of the district’s top schools, all within a mile’s distance: Garden Gate Elementary, Cupertino Middle, and Homestead High. Our kids greatly enjoyed their educational experience.
Amenities
Celeste Circle is walkable from a shopping complex, Homestead Square, consisting of grocery stores, convenience stores, banks, and restaurants which is convenient for parents to older adults and Parents. Franco Park is also on the street leading up to the complex, consisting of a play structure and a field area for children to play.
The local schools are also open outside of school hours for recreation. There is public storage just next to the community. Celeste Circle is located in the heart of Cupertino and the Bay Area and is thus only a short drive away from Apple HQ and other major tech companies. The location also provides easy access to the freeway and the Cupertino community center.
