Irvington High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school serving grades nine through twelve in Fremont, California, United States. Irvington is part of the Fremont Unified School District, and its mascot is the Viking. The school opened in 1964. As of the 2014-15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,990 students and 116.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis) for a student-teacher ratio of 17 to 1. There were 439 students (22.0% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 101 (5.1% of students) suitable for reduced-cost lunch. The school offers visual and performing arts courses, including band, orchestra, drama, and dance. The school’s sports teams are nicknamed the Vikings and compete in the Mission Valley Athletic League of the North Coast Section. The boys’ water polo team won CIF Division I championships in 1996, 1999, 2000, and 2001.
